The North Korean leader Kim Jong-un thanked the troops of his country for the military support provided to Russia, in a gesture that marks another step in the military cooperation between Pyongyang and Moscow.
The statements come following assertions made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and other Kiev officials, in August, that Pyongyang and Moscow had decided to mobilize between 30,000 and 50,000 additional North Korean soldiers in Russia.
This development represents an intensification of the relationship between North Korea and Russia, which has been deepening its cooperation since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine.
