Hundreds of barrels containing toxic substances are contaminating a national park in the Czech Republic, according to the country's State Office for Nuclear Security. The barrels show corrosion, which caused leaks of dangerous materials into the surrounding environment.
The barrels contain a variety of extremely toxic substances, including dioxins, furans, mercury, chlorinated solvents and arsenic. These materials represent serious risks to human health and the local ecosystem.
The contaminated area covers approximately the equivalent of two football pitches, representing a significant extent of territory affected by the toxic substance leaks. The State Office for Nuclear Security is the source responsible for the information about this environmental situation.
