Council dismisses "mega-towers" in Amparo

The Funchal Municipal Council dismissed the possibility of constructing "mega-towers" in the Amparo area, guaranteeing that there is no approved project for the 29 thousand square meters of land. The local authority has not yet defined what it intends to build on that space.

Independent councilors expressed concern about the intervention and demand answers to 55 questions about what is planned for the Amparo area.

Regarding the real estate market in Madeira, mortgage arrears fell by 30%. There was an increase in the number of Madeirans with home loans, although the amount in arrears has dropped to 3 million euros.
