Eight in ten Portuguese express concern about energy prices, while 77% fear fuel costs. These data reveal a high level of financial anxiety among Portuguese citizens regarding the rise in prices in the energy sector.
This concern about energy costs is not limited to Portugal. More than one third of Europeans say they have foregone important expenses to pay energy and fuel bills, indicating that the situation is a cross-cutting problem across Europe.
The escalation of energy prices has forced millions of families to make difficult choices in their household budgets, cutting expenses considered essential or important to maintain access to basic energy services.
