Hakim Ziyech has not yet completed all the medical exams required to sign with Botafogo. On Wednesday, the player underwent cardiac tests, while the physical exams were scheduled for Thursday at CT Lonier. The delay occurred due to fatigue from the trip and the time he spent at Galeão International Airport, where he waited more than two hours to be cleared.
If Thursday's exams confirm everything is in order, Ziyech will sign a contract with Botafogo until the end of 2028. The club is working behind the scenes with the possibility that the forward may need up to two weeks of training at CT Lonier to regain his rhythm and match his physical indices to those of the rest of the squad.
Members of Botafogo's football department analyzed the athlete's physical data over the past years and were encouraged by the results. A source heard by GLOBO indicated that the forward maintains good indices in exams since his time in Europe, and for this reason is seen as a player who depends more on technical quality than physical conditioning.
