Sporting defeated Galatasaray 4-1 in a home match, in a game related to the first round of the Champions League. The Portuguese team managed a comeback after starting the match trailing on the scoreboard.
Defender Inácio ended up scoring an own goal at five minutes, which gave the Turkish team the early lead. This was the only goal scored by Galatasaray throughout the entire match.
The lions equalized through Geny Catamo, who scored his first goal at 27 minutes of play. From that moment on, the Portuguese team dominated and built their victory.
In the second half, Sporting completed the comeback with two goals in just six minutes. Luis Suárez scored from a penalty at 57 minutes, and Zalazar completed the rout with a direct free kick at 63 minutes.
