The Guarda District Firefighters Federation (FBDG) today advocated that the price of fuels should be further reduced for fire brigades, in order to mitigate the effects of the constant increase in operational costs.
The federation also warned of the need to update the price table for non-urgent patient transport, considering that the current values are insufficient to cover the expenses that brigades face with this service.
The impact of fuel increases has significantly affected the financial capacity of fire brigades in the Guarda district, which depend on these resources to ensure the operation of their vehicles and equipment.
The FBDG highlighted the importance of these measures, believing that reducing fuel prices will help fire departments better fulfill their responsibilities.
