Arab and Muslim countries welcomed the sanctions imposed by the United Kingdom on Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank.

Israeli settlers maintain extensive fruit plantations in the Jordan Valley, including dates, which constitute one of the main export products of the region.

In addition to plantations in the Jordan Valley, the settlers also own vineyards and wineries in other parts of the Palestinian enclave, as well as industrial parks and other facilities.
