The Portal da Queixa registered a significant volume of complaints directed at the Portuguese Football Federation, motivated by serious technical failures on the official online ticket sales platform. Among the main user complaints are long digital waiting queues, site access blocks, the inability to select seats in the stadium, and computer errors when completing payment.
The problems arise during a period of enormous demand for tickets for the Portuguese national team matches. Portugal faces Wales on September 24th at Estádio José Alvalade in Lisbon, and then Norway on October 4th at Estádio do Dragão in Porto. The anticipation around this latter match is such that the tickets made available on the federation's platform are already completely sold out.
One of the most emblematic reported cases details the experience of a user who remained approximately nine consecutive hours in an online waiting queue, between 7pm on September 8th and 4am the following morning, ultimately failing to purchase the four tickets she wanted for the match against the Norwegian national team. Other fans share the discontent, stating that after hours of waiting, the system blocked during the seat selection or purchase completion phase.
The situation takes on even more serious dimensions in episodes where money was actually debited. Several consumers claim to have successfully completed payment but allege they received no purchase confirmation receipt or the respective electronic tickets. Official sales are also being made through Continente's physical and digital channels, with a limit of four tickets per buyer, but all formalised complaints target exclusively the FPF's digital service, which has not yet issued any official statement about the incidents.
