João Nuno Calvão da Silva, born in Coimbra in 1977, has been since 2019 vice-rector of the University of Coimbra for External Relations and Alumni, connection to the world and former students. Graduated, master's and doctorate from the University of Coimbra itself, he built his career in the areas of European Union Law and economic regulation.
Throughout his academic and professional career, Calvão da Silva accumulated significant international experience. He taught in Macau, conducted research in Florence, and also worked in government offices, which allowed him to build a diversified path between the academic environment and the political sphere.
