Dick Advocaat extended his contract as Curaçao national team coach, thus continuing to lead the team representing the former Dutch colony of the Antilles. The Dutch coach, 76 years old, will thus remain in the position to guide the team in upcoming international competitions.
Advocaat made history by becoming the oldest national team coach to manage a team at a World Cup. His coaching career includes stints at various clubs and national teams, including the Netherlands, Serbia, Russia, and Kuwait.
The announcement of the contract renewal comes as recognition of the work carried out by Advocaat at the helm of the Curaçao national team, which has been competing in qualifying rounds for major international tournaments under his guidance.
