Carlo Ancelotti announced his first call-up list for the Brazilian national team after the World Cup. The players will be called up for the friendly matches against Australia and India, scheduled for September 25 and 29, as well as October 6.
The call-up features ten players from Brazilian football, nine who played in the last World Cup, and eight new names compared to previous lists. The technical commission's plan is to begin a restructuring of the Brazilian squad, using more experienced names as a foundation for the young players who are joining the national team.
In an interview after the announcement, Ancelotti defended his choices, classifying the list as balanced. According to the coach, players who participated in the World Cup will be important for the next generation, while young players with quality and appropriate age represent the team's future in the coming years.
The Italian also highlighted that the list includes players who perform well in the Brazilian Championship and athletes of Olympic age, considering the need to share work with the coaches of the under-20 and under-17 youth categories.
