Coach Carlo Ancelotti announced, this Wednesday, the first call-up list for the Brazilian national team for the new cycle towards the 2030 World Cup. The call-up includes ten athletes who play in Brazilian football, with a tendency to call younger players. Corinthians is the team with the most representatives on the list, with three players: goalkeeper Hugo Souza, right-back Matheuzinho, and midfielder Breno Bidon. Flamengo, Chelsea, and Real Madrid follow, each with two players called up.

The scheduled matches for the September FIFA window include two friendlies against Australia and one against India. On September 25, Brazil faces the Australians at the Queensland Country Bank stadium, in Townsville. Four days later, on the 29th, the Brazilian national team faces the hosts again, this time at the Suncorp stadium, in Brisbane.

After the matches against Australia, the Brazilian national team will play its first game against the Indian national team. The encounter, which will take place on October 3, marks a historic event in the sporting relations between the two countries, as the two national teams have never faced each other before in an official or friendly match.

Raphinha, outside the finalists, shows discomfort with question about Ballon d'Or: 'I won't talk about it'

Raphinha, Barcelona forward, showed discomfort when asked about the Ballon d'Or after Barcelona's 5-1 victory over Feyenoord in the Champions League. The Brazilian, who scored a goal in the match, refused to comment on the subject, stating that he only talks about Barcelona. His absence from the list of 30 finalists was considered one of the biggest surprises of the award. Raphinha had excellent performance in the 2025/26 season, with 21 goals and seven assists in 33 games, being one of the main reasons for the La Liga title. Only three Brazilians appeared among the finalists: Gabriel Magalhães, Marquinhos and Vini Jr.
