Apple's new CEO, John Ternus, announced on Wednesday (the 9th) a new generation of iPhones. The iPhone 18 Pro model will cost starting at $1,199, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max will be sold for $1,299. Pre-orders begin on September 12 in the United States, with the devices arriving in American stores on the 18th, next Friday.
The announcement was made at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, the traditional stage for the company's product launches. Ternus took over the company's presidency this year, and this is the first time he presents the event. The order of presentations was reversed, with the new generation of iPhones being announced first before other products.
Both phones come with a new camera lens aperture system, a function already anticipated by the market that allows capturing more light in dark environments. Apple's CEO also said the devices will have a function that will allow having the same number of megapixels in photos taken with both the front and rear cameras.
