extra9 September 2026 at 19:21

Rafael "Miniman" Pereira will have the opportunity to win the LFA bantamweight world title this Friday, at Ginásio do Mineirinho, in Belo Horizonte. The athlete from CMSystem, originally from Sete Lagoas, will face Paulist Vinicius Pires in the main event of the organization, which is known for revealing athletes for the UFC.

Miniman arrives at the dispute with an impressive streak of ten consecutive victories, without losing since 2018. The five most recent triumphs were won within the LFA itself, which led him directly to the dispute for the world title of the category.

Besides the importance of the title at stake, the bantamweight will have the opportunity to fight in front of the Minas Gerais public, which represents an additional factor of motivation for the confrontation.

A few days before the confrontation, Miniman demonstrated confidence when talking about the opponent. The Minas Gerais native believes that his style can create difficulties for Pires and predicts an intense fight if the duel reaches all five rounds.

Raphinha, Barcelona forward, showed discomfort when asked about the Ballon d'Or after Barcelona's 5-1 victory over Feyenoord in the Champions League. The Brazilian, who scored a goal in the match, refused to comment on the subject, stating that he only talks about Barcelona. His absence from the list of 30 finalists was considered one of the biggest surprises of the award. Raphinha had excellent performance in the 2025/26 season, with 21 goals and seven assists in 33 games, being one of the main reasons for the La Liga title. Only three Brazilians appeared among the finalists: Gabriel Magalhães, Marquinhos and Vini Jr.
