Diário de Leiria9 September 2026 at 19:30

The Chega party requested an urgent hearing of the national director of the Judicial Police. The initiative was announced by the party leader, André Ventura, who considered the PJ director's appearance before parliament necessary.

The main objective of this hearing is to determine what information the national director of the PJ transmitted to the Minister of Justice. Ventura indicated that the party wants clarification on this specific issue.

This is not the first time that Chega has expressed interest in hearing security force officials. The party has been pressing for greater transparency on issues related to criminal investigation and ministerial oversight.
