The University of Évora and the Agency for Integration, Migration and Asylum (AIMA) signed a protocol on September 9th for the creation of a Local Centre for Migrant Integration Support (CLAIM) on the university premises. The new office was installed in the Santo Agostinho Building.
The CLAIM is mainly intended to support foreign students, teaching staff and researchers in regularization and documentation processes. The centre offers assistance with applications and renewal of residence permits, visa extensions and other bureaucratic procedures necessary for legal stay in Portugal.
The protocol aims to contribute to a more open, international and inclusive community at the University of Évora. This partnership between the educational institution and AIMA represents an effort to facilitate the integration of migrants who are part of the academic community.
