Caixa Econômica Federal releases this Thursday the recharge voucher for approximately 4.2 million beneficiary families of the Gás do Povo program. The program guarantees the free refill of the 13-kilogram gas cylinder for low-income families enrolled in the Single Registry of Federal Government Social Programs (CadÚnico).
The recharge voucher is released on the 10th of each month, however the number of cylinders each family is entitled to per year varies according to the size of the family unit. Families with two or three people receive four refills per year, one every three months, while families with four or more members are entitled to six annual refills, one every two months.
The previous credit remains valid until the 9th of the month in which the family will be entitled to a new refill. It is important to note that the program does not cover the value of the cylinder nor the delivery costs of the cylinder.
