Coach Carlo Ancelotti announced on Wednesday, at 3 PM (Brasília time), the first call-up list for the Brazilian national team for the new cycle. The call-up took place at the CBF headquarters, in Rio de Janeiro, and can be watched on Ge TV, SporTV, and CBF TV on YouTube. This is Brazil's first call-up after the elimination to Norway in the 2026 World Cup.

The Brazilian national team will play two friendly matches against Australia during the September FIFA window. The first game takes place on September 25, at the Queensland Country Bank stadium, in Townsville. The second match is scheduled for September 29, this time at the Suncorp stadium, in Brisbane.

After facing the Australians, Brazil will play an unprecedented match against the Indian national team. The encounter is scheduled for October 3, at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan stadium, known as Salt Lake Stadium, in the city of Kolkata.

Raphinha, outside the finalists, shows discomfort with question about Ballon d'Or: 'I won't talk about it'

Raphinha, Barcelona forward, showed discomfort when asked about the Ballon d'Or after Barcelona's 5-1 victory over Feyenoord in the Champions League. The Brazilian, who scored a goal in the match, refused to comment on the subject, stating that he only talks about Barcelona. His absence from the list of 30 finalists was considered one of the biggest surprises of the award. Raphinha had excellent performance in the 2025/26 season, with 21 goals and seven assists in 33 games, being one of the main reasons for the La Liga title. Only three Brazilians appeared among the finalists: Gabriel Magalhães, Marquinhos and Vini Jr.
