Half of enrolled students missed the extraordinary session exams

Half of the students who had enrolled for the extraordinary session exams ended up missing them. Nearly 44 thousand students in the 10th and 12th grades were enrolled to take these special tests, which take place in August for students who could not participate in the regular exam session.

The attendance rate was well below expectations, with approximately half of those enrolled not showing up for the tests. This situation raises questions about the reasons why so many students did not attend, considering that it was an additional opportunity to complete the school year.

The extraordinary session exams are aimed at students who, for specific reasons, could not take the tests during the regular session in June. This is a second chance provided for in the assessment regulations for the terminal years of secondary education.

This data on low attendance comes at a time when schools and the Ministry of Education continue to monitor the academic results of secondary school students, particularly those completing the 10th and 12th grades.
