The Economy Minister announced that the Government will grant fuel support to other sectors in addition to agriculture in the near future. This information comes following a decision made on Wednesday after the Council of Ministers.
The Executive decided to extend until the end of the year the extraordinary support for agricultural diesel, a measure that was already in place and has now been extended.
With this extension, farmers continue to benefit from financial support to cope with the cost of fuel, which has been increasing in recent times.
The announcement of the extension of the measure was made by the Council of Ministers, which decided to maintain support for agricultural diesel while preparing the expansion of these incentives to other sectors of the Portuguese economy.
