New Fairs begin this Wednesday with lighting inauguration and concertina procession

The New Fairs of Ponte de Lima begin this Wednesday, September 9th, starting six days of celebration. This year, the festival takes on special significance by commemorating the 200 years of the pilgrimage.

The program of the first day starts at 9:30 PM with the traditional Concertina Procession. This initiative includes the Municipal Concertina Meeting and promises to bring popular music to the streets of the town.

The event is one of the oldest pilgrimages in Portugal, celebrating this historic milestone with a program that extends over several days.
