The Matosinhos Court acquitted today a former Civil Protection coordinator from the Santo Tirso City Council, a former municipal veterinarian and three owners of illegal animal shelters of more than 230 crimes of animal abuse. The decision was issued today, acquitting the five defendants of all the charges that weighed against them. The suspects faced charges related to the operation of illegal animal shelters.
