The Social Security Contact Centre in Madeira carried out almost 22 thousand attendances since it began operating in December last year. Between 11 December 2025 and 7 September of this year, the first line of the service recorded 21,976 attendances, equivalent to an average of about 130 calls handled per day.
The Centre is installed at the Local Service of São Roque, in Funchal. This facility is part of a nationwide pilot project, whose purpose is to facilitate citizens' access to Social Security services. The main objective of this initiative is to improve the quality of service and reduce waiting times for users.
