The Setúbal City Council approved the creation of a Municipal Police Corps. This decision represents the implementation of a new security force at the local level, which will be managed by the city council.
The corps will have an initial force of at least 40 officers. This number represents the minimum size planned for the start of the Municipal Police.
The recruitment of officers will be done in a progressive and phased manner. This gradual approach allows for an organized and sustainable implementation of the new police force.
The patrol models will be adapted to each parish of the municipality. This strategy allows for responding to the specific needs of each area of the Setúbal territory.
