The fifth edition of Bordeira com Vida takes place next Saturday in Bordeira, a locality in the Algarve barrocal area situated in the parish of Santa Bárbara de Nexe, in the municipality of Faro. The event is promoted by Cooperativa A Bordeirense and the Parish Council of Santa Bárbara de Nexe, with the aim of transforming Bordeira, at the transition between the coast and the mountains, into a place of encounter through a cultural program distributed across five distinct spaces.
The program includes street activities, poetry, cinema, theatre, clown, visual arts and music, seeking to engage different audiences throughout the afternoon and evening. The activities run between 3:00pm and 2:00am, with free entry.
In the street program, the highlights are the colloquium "Admirável Mundo Velho" (Adorable Old World), the clown of Ambrosia, a moment of popular poetry with Pedro Monteiro and Local Poets, and street theatre by Panapana. At the Centro Cultural e de Inovação de Bordeira (Bordeira Cultural and Innovation Centre), inaugurated last year, there will be on display a stone sculpture exhibition, the exhibition "Invenções Motorizadas do Mestre Zé Rato" (Motorized Inventions of Master Zé Rato) and the documentary short film showcase "Documentar Algarve Interior" (Documenting the Interior of Algarve), made by Eduardo Pinto and Laura Carlos for the "365 Algarve" program.
Music occupies several stages with performances by Inês Faria and Rodrigo Veloso, Violeta, Enigmatic Jazz Shifter, ZH & VIL, Yasmin da Silva and José Manuel Ferreira, Adufeiras em Flor, Peyoti for President and DJ Micah. The program also includes poetry moments, such as "Poesia ao Entardecer" (Poetry at Dusk) with Rogério Cão, Sara Martins and Alfaro, followed by an open poetry microphone hosted by Pedro Monteiro.
