The essential food basket in Portugal surpassed 255 euros, according to calculations by DECO PROteste. This value represents the highest price increase since July, indicating a trend of accelerated growth in the costs of basic food goods.

The consumer defense organization revealed that, in the last week analyzed, prices rose by 52 cents. This significant weekly increase contributes to the financial pressure on Portuguese families.

DECO PROteste is the entity responsible for monitoring and calculating these values, regularly tracking the evolution of prices for essential products that make up the typical food basket for a family.
