British cyclist Matthew Brennan, from the Visma/Lease a Bike team, claimed victory on stage 17 of the Vuelta a España. The win was achieved by outsprinting the competition at the finish line of the stage.
With this victory, Brennan adds his fifth stage win in this edition of the Vuelta. This also marks his second consecutive victory in the competition.
The general classification of the race continues to be led by Spanish rider Enric Mas, who rides for the Movistar team, thus maintaining the lead in the Spanish tour.
