Sanctuary of Blessed Alexandrina of Balasar inaugurated in October

The Archdiocese of Braga and the Alexandrina de Balasar Foundation will promote, on October 10 and 11, the dedication and inauguration ceremonies of the new Eucharistic Sanctuary of Balasar, in Póvoa de Varzim.

The program started on Saturday, October 10, at 10:00 AM, with the transfer of the mortal remains of Alexandrina de Balasar to the new sanctuary.

The Blessed Alexandrina of Balasar was a Portuguese religious figure born in 1904 and died in 1955, known for her devotion and life of faith. The new sanctuary aims to welcome the faithful who wish to venerate her memory and continue her spiritual legacy.
