Faro City Council announced that it is preparing a proposal to rent a property on Estrada do Passeio Ribeirinho, next to Teatro das Figuras, to host the Recreational and Cultural Association of Musicians (ARCM), currently provisionally installed since 2014 at the Beer Factory. The announcement was made by the president of the municipality, António Pina, during the celebrations of the municipal holiday.

The vice-president of ARCM, Cláudia Sil, received the news positively, stating that the association already knew that its stay at the Beer Factory was temporary, since the building presents problems of degradation and safety. António Pina underlined that the space does not meet the conditions to host the association or any event safely, and that the municipality does not intend to be responsible for any incident.

The Musicians Association now awaits approval of the proposal by the municipal bodies. Cláudia Sil stated that she had presented the association's needs, which include rehearsal rooms for bands, training rooms for the modern music school with around 100 students, a performance area, and related spaces. The goal is to obtain certification as a training entity and apply for support from the Directorate-General for the Arts, which is not possible at the current headquarters. The leader hopes that the process will move forward quickly, emphasizing that there have already been 12 years of urgency.
