The 41st Military Police Battalion of Irajá carried out this Wednesday an operation in the Complexo do Chapadão, in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro. During the police action, drug dealers hijacked four buses and used them to set up barricades on the streets of the complex. The buses were positioned to block Rio do Pau Street and Alcobaça Street, preventing vehicle circulation in the area.

According to information from Rio Ônibus, around 10:20 AM the roads were cleared after the intervention of security forces. However, even with the roads being reopened, twelve bus lines continued operating with detours in their routes, affecting the public transportation routine of residents in the area.

The lines that had their routes altered include services 384, SR384, 385, 399, SR399, 669, SV669, and 779, all with origin or destination to Pavuna and connections to other neighborhoods such as Passeio, Méier, and Sulacap. Some of the remaining blocked services were B32741, B32761, B32780, and B32753, which operated routes between Pavuna, Passeio, Sulacap, and Deodoro terminals.
