Singer Jão will perform at Rock in Rio this Friday (11), holding a pocket show at the Itaú Pavilion right after the Palco Mundo shows wrap up. This will be the artist's first performance after a hiatus from the stage since 2025, marking his return to the audience with a new repertoire.
The presentation will feature songs from the album "Memórias Póstumas," released in July. The record was created in the midst of grief, after the singer lost his father. Fans sold out 11 thousand tickets for an album listening session in São Paulo in just 39 seconds, demonstrating the high anticipation for the new work.
Last Friday (7), when Elton John was the headliner of the event, Jão sent a message to the British singer through social media. The Brazilian shared a video at the piano with a direct message, writing: "Hi, Elton John. I can't wait to hear this live tonight." The English musician replied with a simple "Thank you."
