BE/Açores sent a complaint to the Regional Environmental Inspectorate to denounce the "abandonment of large quantities of waste" in the Monte Verde beach area, in São Miguel. The bloc party points to a situation of environmental pollution that requires intervention from the competent authorities.
The Monte Verde beach hosted a music festival this summer, which may be related to the accumulation of waste in the area. BE/Açores believes it is necessary to clarify the circumstances that led to this situation.
In addition to the complaint to the Regional Environmental Inspectorate, BE/Açores also sent a request to the Regional Government, which is made up of the PSD/CDS-PP/PPM coalition, asking for clarification on the situation observed at Monte Verde beach.
The party thus intends to hold the regional executive accountable for the environmental management of the area and obtain responses about the measures adopted or planned to resolve the problem of waste abandoned on the beach.
