Grupo Desportivo Pesqueira (GDP) was one of the five clubs selected as finalists in the North Region Final Phase of the Top Club Awards, an initiative promoted by the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth (IPDJ). The club from São João da Pesqueira competed among a total of 24 applications submitted in this region.

Despite the recognition of being part of the top five clubs in the north region, GDP did not manage to achieve a place in the Top 3 of the competition. This distinction still represents a significant milestone for the club, which managed to stand out among dozens of other applications from sports associations and clubs in the region.

The Top Club Awards are an IPDJ initiative that aims to distinguish and recognize the work developed by sports clubs in various aspects, including the organization, promotion, and development of local and regional sports practice.
