A Netflix study revealed that Alagoas, Maranhão, and Pará are the Brazilian states with the highest consumption of k-dramas in the country. Maceió, the capital of Alagoas, is more than 16,000 kilometers away from Seoul, South Korea, but still concentrates the biggest fans of South Korean series in Brazil. Maranhão and Pará also rank among the leaders in consuming this type of audiovisual content.
The cities of Maceió, São Luís, and Belém were chosen to host Dramalândia Stations, spaces set up by the streaming platform with immersive content from series like "Explosive Kiss" and "Love and Potatoes." The in-person programming is free.
The platform also opened, starting September 10 through September 18, a national promotion to take three winners, each accompanied by one person, to Seoul, the South Korean capital. The selected participants will have the opportunity to experience Dramalândia up close.
