Àngela Moya, president of La Exprimidora, talked about Besign Fest, the major design reference in Castellón, a few weeks before its sixth edition, which will take place from October 1 to 3. This is the first time Moya leads l'Associació de Dissenyadors i Creatius de Castelló and the organization of this biennial.
According to Moya, the event is defined by three essential nouns: diversity, community and enthusiasm. Diversity refers to the creative disciplines present, the community is characterized as brave and hardworking, and enthusiasm represents the passion for what they do. Moya described it as a translation of Castellón's identity.
The president was emphatic in stating that design should not be treated as a hobby by professionals in the field, nor as a nice whim by those who hire it. On the contrary, she defends that design is strategy, differentiation, well-being and economy, emphasizing its real importance for the sector.
