A new documentary by American filmmaker Alex Gibney about Elon Musk premiered on Tuesday (8) at the Venice Film Festival and raises suspicions about the richest man's power to interfere in American politics. The film, simply titled "Musk," is nearly three hours long and has been described by foreign media as one of the most impressive ever made about the billionaire.
According to accounts in the documentary, on the eve of the November 2024 American presidential election, Elon Musk showed unusual confidence in Donald Trump's victory. Before the official results were released, he told influencer Ashley St. Clair, mother of one of his 14 known children, that he would "unleash the anomaly in the matrix" and that he had "10,000 lasers in space."
Ashley St. Clair is one of the main characters in Gibney's documentary. She is presented as a central figure for understanding Musk's personality and ambitions. The film also links the billionaire's desire for a "legion of children" to a supposed fear of apocalypse that he would carry.
