A technical failure in the UK's air traffic control system caused the cancellation of more than two thousand flights in 48 hours. The incident affected thousands of passengers and caused significant disruptions to the country's air traffic.
According to data from aviation analysis company Cirium, on Tuesday alone, 1,746 flights were cancelled, of which 903 were departures and 843 were arrivals. These numbers reflect the severe impact of the technical failure on the operation of British airports.
The paralysis of the air traffic control system forced authorities to cancel and reroute numerous flights, causing widespread delays and inconvenience to travelers during the 48-hour period affected by the incident.
