Singer and actress Gottscha, one of the stars of musicals in Brazil, revealed on social media that she has been waiting a year to receive the agreed-upon payments for her participation in the musical "Mudança de Hábito" (Change of Habit), which was performed last year. She played Mother Superior in the show and decided to break her silence about the situation.
Gottscha stated that she has been in her career for over 30 years and had never faced a similar situation. According to her, the experience left her emotionally shaken, especially because she considered the production to be large-scale and did not expect this type of problem from a producer of such magnitude.
The artist reported that she was not the only one harmed, as other professionals were also affected by the unpaid wages, including dressers, stagehands, musicians, and actors. Gottscha highlighted that she filed a lawsuit alongside her affected colleagues and defended that the issue goes beyond money, being a matter of emotion, devotion, and professional dignity.
