The parents of a 15-year-old student are demanding compensation of 500 thousand euros for the death of their son, who died after a goalpost fell at the Colégio Conciliar de Maria Imaculada, in Leiria. The accident occurred in 2021.
The case is being tried at the Judicial Court of Leiria, where the parents are presenting their action against the school. The educational institution is indicated as responsible for the damages resulting from the fatal accident.
The fall of the goalpost caused the death of the young 15-year-old student, who was attending the educational establishment at the time of the incident. The school is managed by the Congregation of the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of Our Lady.
