Supreme Court (STF) Minister Flávio Dino overturned a previous decision made by Minister Mendonça and ordered the immediate reinstatement of Andrei Rodrigues and Leandro Almada to their positions as Federal Police directors. The decision was issued on Wednesday, October 9.
Both directors had been removed from their duties, which also resulted in the suspension of the institution's intelligence activities during the period they were out of office.
With Dino's order, both must return immediately to their positions, restoring the normal functioning of the Federal Police leadership.
The measure represents a complete reversal of the situation that had been imposed previously, restoring the institution's command to how it was before the removal ordered by Mendonça.
