Georgiy Sudakov should be a starter for Benfica this Wednesday, in the trip to Moreira de Cónegos, for the 3rd round of Liga Portugal. The Ukrainian midfielder arrives at the match under pressure and looking for a more consistent response, after a season start marked by modest numbers.
Nelson Feiteirona commented on the number 10's numbers, considering them truly modest for the player's technical ability. In his view, Sudakov has alternated quality moments with others of lesser inspiration.
However, in the overall balance, Sudakov remains far from presenting the game-breaking ability that is demanded of a player in that position, especially in a team that has shown a huge scoring streak, with 33 goals scored in all competitions, against only nine conceded.
Still, Sudakov has deservedly earned the coach's trust consistently, although he hasn't excited the crowd. The player now seeks to meet Marco Silva's demands and demonstrate his true value in the match against Moreirense.
