Live music returns to República 14 in Olhão on Saturday, the 12th, at 9:00 PM, with a concert by Nanook O Vagabundo dedicated to blues. The show, titled "Nanook Plays The Blues", marks the return of concerts to the Olhão cultural venue after the summer break and serves as a stage for the presentation of the musician's new discographic work, the EP "Nanook Plays The Blues – EP Volume I".
According to República 14, the new EP represents a return to the influences that helped define Nanook's musical language, bringing together four traditional tracks from blues, folk and gospel, plus an original composition. The musician recovers these references through his own artistic approach, reinterpreting tracks linked to the genre's tradition and integrating them into the musical universe he has been developing.
Known for performances in a one-man-band format, Nanook appears alone on stage, combining vocals, guitar, harmonica and percussion in a single performance. The concert will not be limited to the tracks from the new EP, covering a broader repertoire linked to blues.
The show is held in partnership with Blues a Sul – Algarve Blues Association. Tickets can be purchased at the venue or through the BOL platform.
