The Government intends to find a solution for the lack of water in Almada within a four-month timeframe. The Environment Minister gave this guarantee, signaling the urgency of resolving the problem that affects this region.
The technical solution that will be developed will be complementary to the use of groundwater, meaning it will not replace but rather add a new approach to the water supply in the region.
The Portuguese Environment Agency (APA) and the AdP Group (Águas de Portugal) were tasked with presenting a concrete project. The established deadline is 120 days, which is approximately the four months referred to by the Minister.
