The institutional website of Paredes City Council received the Gold Seal of Usability and Accessibility, awarded by the Agency for State Technological Reform (ARTE), which represents the highest national distinction in this area. This certification recognizes the municipality's efforts to make access to digital content and services simpler and more accessible for all citizens, including people with disabilities, elderly people, and people with lower digital literacy.
The website renewal was carried out as part of a municipality application and had support of 10 thousand euros through the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR). The project included a complete review of the design and contents, having been subsequently evaluated by users with different levels of digital literacy, including citizens with disabilities.
The municipality considers that the new platform allows faster access to municipal services through mobile phones and facilitates tasks such as filling out forms. With the Gold Seal, the Municipality of Paredes now sees recognized the work developed in improving the accessibility and usability of its digital presence.
