The Polytechnic University of Guarda achieved three patent registrations after promoting training in the area of industrial property. This achievement represents an important milestone for the higher education institution.

Two of the patent applications were submitted by Rui Pires and concern a digital manufacturing system and an additive printing system. The third registration was developed jointly by Raquel Lima and Luís Miguel Condeço, relating to an integrated device for blood infusion.
