Prime Minister Luís Montenegro responded to a motion of censure with citizen support measures, including an extraordinary supplement for pensioners and a tax relief on salaries. This response comes in the context of a motion of censure presented against the government.
The extraordinary supplement for pensions reaches more than two million pensioners receiving up to 1,611.13 euros. This extra amount is paid together with the December pension, representing additional financial support for these citizens.
As for tax relief, it benefits more than two million Portuguese families. The impact of this IRS reduction on salaries is already being felt during the month of November, anticipating the positive effects for taxpayers.
The measures announced by Montenegro aim to demonstrate the government's intention to support Portuguese families and pensioners, at a time when the executive faces political challenges with the motion of censure.
