Viana do Castelo prepares to host the 2nd edition of Rally Viana do Castelo 2026 on September 18th and 19th. The event, organized in partnership with Motorclube de Guimarães, is considered one of the most anticipated regional motorsport events of the year, bringing speed, excitement and top-tier drivers to the city.
In the 2025 edition, the duo João Barros and Jorge Henriques were crowned winners driving a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2. This year, several names compete for the title, including Tiago Silva and Marco Oliveira in the North Rally Championship, Rafael Cunha and Mário Castro in the Two Wheel Drive category, and João Barros in the Open category.
Among the most exciting stages, the City Stage stands out, which takes place at night in the city center and usually attracts large crowds. The stages of Outeiro, Salvador and Geraz are considered the most technical and inviting to watch, offering adrenaline and high speed to spectators.
