The National Road Safety Authority (ANSR) launched a new awareness campaign aimed at drivers at the start of the school year. The campaign, entitled "Back to School", was presented on Monday, September 7, and aims to alert drivers to the increased risks in areas surrounding schools during this period.
The main objective of the campaign is to raise awareness among drivers about the need to double their care near schools. ANSR also intends to alert drivers to the serious consequences that speed can have in the event of pedestrian strikes, particularly children.
This initiative comes in the context of the back-to-school period, a time when there is a significant increase in pedestrian traffic near schools. The campaign calls for driver responsibility and attention to ensure the safety of all public road users in these areas.
