Indonesian authorities resume search for vessel with five journalists on board

The Indonesian authorities resumed today rescue operations to locate a missing vessel at sea. The boat was carrying eight people, including five journalists who are among the missing.

The Indonesian search and rescue agency, known as Basarnas, announced the resumption of the searches. The journalists were on board to cover the eruption of the Anak Krakatau volcano.

Anak Krakatau is an active volcano located in Indonesia, whose name means "Child of Krakatau", making reference to the famous Krakatau volcano that erupted in 1883.

The rescue operations are underway to try to locate the vessel and the eight people on board.
